Local mindfulness teachers unite to inspire joy, awe, and wonder


The Midwest Alliance for Mindfulness (MAM) has partnered with top local mindfulness teachers to bring the Joy of Mindfulness Summit 2022. To help people restore critical emotional balance in an increasingly turbulent world, this FREE event is offered online through the Mindful Kansas City platform June 5-10, 2022 at no cost to the public.

The CDC reports that the frequency of anxiety and depression remains elevated after years of coping with a global pandemic. Climate distress, sociopolitical tensions, and global conflicts also significantly contribute to increased stress. With no immediate end in sight, experienced mindfulness teachers, the Mindful Kansas City initiative, and MAM are offering at no cost to the public this opportunity to develop resilience and balance by including a mindful approach to joy even during challenging times.


The online summit kicks off the event with a live panel discussion and Q & A on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. Daily meditations and guided practices from a wide variety of teachers invite participants to develop their personal access to joy, awe, and wonder. Practices include quiet, guided meditations, mindful movement practices, as well as creative activities to spark connection with nature, community and inner resources.

MAM is a community of people from all walks of life, unaffiliated with any particular religious faith, practicing mindfulness and meditation together and supporting one another toward greater presence and awareness in daily living.
