Are you a teacher of contemplative practices (such as mindfulness, meditation, yoga, tai chi or qigong) or a wellness professional looking for a space to offer group services? The Peace Pod is a 480 square foot, wifi connected, windowed, open space within a counseling center that was designed to offer a quiet, nature-connected, peaceful, and relatively neutral environment. Private parking is ample and a shaded courtyard is also available in nicer weather.
When arranged in rows, the Peace Pod can accommodate about 30 people seated in folding chairs or on meditation cushions, or about 20 people on yoga mats. The space can accommodate up to 15 zafu/zabuton sets when arranged in a circle.
The Peace Pod comes equipped with a 360 degree camera with built in microphone for integrating in person and online groups. A flat screen TV allows on site participants to interact with those attending online and it can also be used for video presentations. The space also has a ceiling mounted camera that can capture the whole room at once. It has its own thermostat and the lights can be dimmed. A Sonos speaker allows soft music to be played in the background.
Zafu and zabuton meditation cushion sets and folding chairs are available for participant seating and we can set up the space to suit your group. Yoga props, a small number of loaner yoga mats, a white board, two six foot folding tables, 3 card tables, and a zero gravity chair are also available for use.
