From a very young age, my innate curiosity about how the world worked invited experiences of deep awe and immersion — particularly in nature and through movement. As a young adult, I started practicing meditation as a way to intentionally resource myself for the rigors of solo parenthood. These days, mindfulness continues to guide my way toward truth, and I stand in awe of the complexity and the beauty of all that I encounter in the light of unfiltered awareness.
I am a longtime student of mindfulness and self-compassion. I received my MSC training through the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion, where I also serve as Communications Manager. I'm a chaplain-in-training at Upaya Zen Center in Santa Fe, where I'm studying contemplative end-of-life care. I am the creator of the MSC Community for Deepening Practice and a co-founding member of the Midwest Alliance for Mindfulness. I aspire to provide warm, creative, accessible teaching. This work is rooted in my deep respect for that which is shared by all I encounter: A heartfelt desire to be loved exactly as we are, no one left out.
