I started exploring mindfulness in 2008 when several areas of my life began to shift. Mindfulness meditation gave me an important sense of honest grounding. Now, I can't imagine life without the practice. It's such a deep part of my being.
Along with a plethora of books on mindfulness, I've attended a Goenka retreat, a Zen retreat, several personal retreats, a retreat with Tara Brach & Jack Kornfield, multiple online courses, and am currently enrolled in the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. I have taught a series of mindfulness classes at the introductory level to individuals and am partnering with Kansas City therapists to provide mindfulness training to some of their clientele.
