Since 2015, we’ve been gradually building a community of kind, caring and welcoming people in the Kansas City metro who share in the revolutionary attitudes and healing practices of mindfulness. Early on, we met in our living rooms, yoga studios, coffee shops, churches, and outdoor spaces until we grew the capacity for our own space. We began with donation based classes and as our family of teachers grew, we were able to offer workshops, series, retreats, teacher training programs, and even a fledgling regional initiative. We’ve partnered with many philanthropic organizations, institutions and businesses across the two state region in order to build awareness and make learning and practicing more accessible for all who are interested. We’ve survived a pandemic and look forward to building back our on-site participation as safety allows. Together we’re starting a revolution from the inside out and we hope you might join us!
“I was blown away with the level of the people there. Not only were the leaders skilled and knowledgeable, the participants were very skilled and wonderful. In some of the breakout sessions my experience was very humbling.”
“I’ve taken two Mindfulness Based programs at MAM this year, and I’d highly recommend these courses. They’re a safe space for exploring mindfulness, and deepening self awareness through practices, homework and group discussion. The instructors are skilled facilitators, and the retreats offer a chance to connect with the broader mindfulness community at MAM. The teachers do a great job facilitating discussions, and I learn a lot from listening to the other participants talk about their experiences and offer ideas/insights.”
“I feel privileged to be part of this amazing community! Thanks to everyone who participates!”
“Always pleased to attend these. Thanks for being so welcoming.”
“I have been practicing Mindfulness for almost 20 years. It wasn’t until I got involved with MAM that I truly realized more of what mindfulness has to offer. MAM has provided me a safe place of likeminded people to continue my journey through this life by using mindfulness as one of my guides.”
